FabTime Completes Silicon Valley Multi-Company Session of Cycle Time Management Course

Menlo Park, CA | November 8, 2002

FabTime Inc. today announced that it has completed the Silicon Valley multi-company session of its FabTime cycle time management course. The two-day course covered cycle time intuition, management styles, and metrics and goals. Attendees represented wafer fabs from the United States, Canada, Ireland, and Germany.

“This was our first multi-company session of the course,” said Jennifer Robinson, FabTime COO. “Previously we have presented the course to attendees from a single company site, and that allowed detailed discussion of site-specific topics. At this multi-company session, we found that attendees were interested in sharing ideas and comparing notes, and we were happy to facilitate these discussions.”

FabTime is designed to give wafer fab managers and their staff the information that they need, in real-time, to run their fabs effectively. FabTime extracts operational data from the fab manufacturing execution system (MES) every five minutes, and processes this data into a SQL Server data warehouse. Users can then access a comprehensive system of cycle time-related charts and alerts via a web browser from anywhere within the corporate Intranet. More information about FabTime’s software is available at www.FabTime.com.
